Niger: Another Coup . . . or a Pan-African Revolution?

In Niger: Another Coup or a Pan-African Revolution? Anfruns analyses the history and politics of the Sahel region, through the lens of Niger, a country endowed with colossal mineral resources yet hindered by colonialism and neoliberalism that has made true development impossible. In the face of Western exploitation, Pan-African unity is showing a new path forward.

Description

Africa is changing. In Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger, new governments are bringing foreign interference to an end in their media, diplomacy, and national defence, uniting in an alliance of countries of the Sahel. Not surprisingly, Western propaganda portrays these new African leaders as merely the vulgar leaders of military coups, when, in reality, it is the people who are kicking the French military out of their countries.
